Casa e Cucina is proud to announce the acquisition of 2 new brands to their portfolio. Jeans Decor from Italy and Lovely Linens from Sweden. Both brands highlight great design and quality from Europe and strengthen the offering by Casa e Cucina to present a more comprehensive solution for decorating the table and the home.
Flavio Ongaro designer and director of Jeans Decor brings denim to life as art. His handmade fabrics, all denim based, are very different to anything we have seen here before. His backgound is in textile design and research for the high fashion houses of Europe and he has now turned his hand to fabrics for interior design and home décor solutions.
He works from a denim base developed from his love of streetwear and his work in fashion. He layers colour and effects onto the fabric all by hand to create a distinctive vintage style. All in varying shades of indigo Flavio uses water as his colour inspiration and palette and the beautiful images from nature around him inspires his prints and designs on the fabric.
All the fabric is hand made in his workshop in Treviso Italy near Venice his original inspiration was his his love of Fortuny design. He has also reworked original Italian medieval tapestry designs into his denim art but with a modern twist… keeping the history of his beloved Italy but refashioned as a modern interpretation.
The fabric is all 100% cotton and can be machine washed. It is suitable for sofa covering, bedheads, table linens, wall hangings , cushions, lampshades….endless applications limited only by your imagination. Everyone will see something different in each piece. The fabric is available by the metre or in a standard panel size of 1.2 x 1.6 metres.
We are really excited to have these new products in the range as they compliment the Zafferano glassware collections and provide a more complete offering to design the table and decorate the home.
We are launched Jeans Decor at the Life InStyle fair in Sydney on 22nd February.
